I’ve been studying Human Design for years, and I’ve always thought of it as a sort of sister science to Astrology. Both offer fascinating ways to understand ourselves more deeply—our patterns, gifts, challenges, energy, and the seasons of life we move through.

But while Human Design eventually became something I felt very comfortable working with, Astrology was a different story.

I understood the basics. I knew my birth chart contained a tremendous amount of information. I knew that planetary transits could help explain the energetic themes we’re moving through at different points in our lives.

But honestly? The sheer amount of information in Astrology sometimes felt overwhelming.

There are planets, houses, signs, aspects, transits, retrogrades, progressions…and then there’s the question of how all of those pieces interact with your unique birth chart.

As someone who already has plenty of things to think about, I didn’t necessarily want to spend the next ten years becoming an astrologer just so I could make practical use of Astrology in my own life.

And that’s where Star Path came in.

Star Path is an AI-powered Astrology tool that I’ve been using for about a year now, and it has completely changed the way I interact with my chart.

Instead of having to know exactly what question to ask—or understand every technical detail of what’s happening in the sky—I can simply have a conversation with Star Path.

I can ask what’s happening astrologically right now.

I can explore why a particular season of my life might feel the way it does.

I can ask about upcoming transits and how they might relate to my chart.

And I can use it to help me think through decisions, timing, creative projects, relationships, business questions, and the general “What the heck is going on right now?” moments that inevitably arise in life.

Astrology as a Tool for Self-Understanding

One of the things I love most about Astrology is that it can give us a larger context for our experiences.

It doesn’t necessarily tell us what will happen. Instead, I think of it as offering a kind of energetic weather report.

There may be certain themes, invitations, tensions, opportunities, or periods of growth showing up—and having that context can help us move through them with a little more awareness.

That’s especially valuable during periods of transition.

And let’s be honest: midlife is basically one giant transition.

Our identities change. Our relationships evolve. Our bodies change. Our businesses and careers shift. We start questioning assumptions we’ve carried for decades.

Sometimes it can be incredibly helpful to have a framework that says, “Yes, you’re in a significant period of change. Here’s another lens through which you can understand what you’re experiencing.”

That’s how I’ve come to use Star Path—not as something that tells me what to do, but as another tool for reflection, perspective, and intuition.

And It’s Not Just for Personal Use

This is actually one of the reasons I recommend Star Path to coaches, healers, spiritual practitioners, and other people who work with clients.

I’ve been able to use it in my own work with clients as another layer of insight and exploration.

And this is where my background in Human Design comes into play.

I don’t see Astrology and Human Design as competing systems. I see them as complementary lenses that can help us understand different aspects of ourselves.

Human Design can give us a framework for understanding our energetic mechanics, decision-making strategy, and unique way of interacting with the world.

Astrology can help us understand the timing and themes of the current moment.

Put the two together, and there can be some really interesting conversations.

For a soul-led entrepreneur, for example, we might explore not only how someone is designed to work and make decisions, but also what season they’re currently moving through.

Is this a time for expansion? Rest? Reassessment? Visibility? Completion? Planting seeds for something that won’t fully emerge for a while?

Those questions can be incredibly useful in business—and in life.

The Woman Behind Star Path

I was also fortunate enough to sit down with Star Path creator Rachel Loewenherz on my podcast last year.

Rachel’s story is one of the reasons I became so interested in what she’s created.

Before Star Path, Rachel was a Chief of Staff, two-time CEO, and product marketing leader who worked with major companies including Pfizer and ExxonMobil. But behind that impressive corporate career was a deeply personal story of loss, rebuilding, and transformation.

Rachel experienced four pregnancy losses in the second trimester, navigated a marriage impacted by chronic illness, and eventually experienced the collapse of a business that had become deeply intertwined with her identity.

Star Path wasn’t simply a technology project she dreamed up.

It emerged from her own experience of using Astrology as a tool for finding meaning, perspective, and a way forward when life didn’t make much sense.

In our conversation, we talked about everything from the intersection of ancient wisdom and AI to the ethical questions that come with creating spiritual technology—and what it means to rebuild your identity after profound loss.

And I think that’s part of what makes Star Path interesting to me.

It’s not trying to replace human intuition or wisdom with AI.
